1-5 year Counties Women's team

The following Junior players represented Counties Manukau at the quadrangular Geddes tournament in Kati Kati on November 28.

Singles. Kathy Lister

Pairs. Sheryl Brownlee and Shirley Hodge/ Christine Mason

Fours. Wendy Shaddick, Maree McCloy, Sally Yoakley and Christine Mason/ Alice Reidel

Compared to the teams from Bay of Plenty, Thames Valley and Waikato, the team was relatively inexperienced. The majority of players having 1-3 years bowling. Many of the opposition were 5 year players and some were also playing Prem 2.

That being said every player acquitted themselves well and gained some valuable experience for the next round in February. There is a very supportive and positive culture within the team so results will improve.
