Bowls Counties Manukau Rep. Teams

Representative Men’s Team for Nov. 29th

Counties Manukau Bowls Premier 1 Men's side has been selected for the first outing this season where they head to Katikati on Nov 29th playing against Bay of Plenty, Thames Valley & Waikato.

Well performed Jim Ballard gets the singles spot with young Adam Ballie leading the pair for David Clark.

The fours have a familiar look about them with Steve Bicknell (L), Frankie Lim (2), Shane Drabble (3) Brody Dix (Sk.).

Bill Jones (selector) has indicated the front end of the pairs & fours is hotly contested by a no. of players.

Both Jason Parker & Roger Andrew are unlucky to miss out after showing good form over the weekend in the

Counties Pairs; while Stu Watt & a no. of others in the squad will need to show some form in coming weeks for consideration later in the season.

This is the first of three Rep. trial days against other centres before the final team of 7 are named for the National Inter-centre finals in March ’21.

All squad members are expected to get a run in the team before final selections are made.

Representative Women’s Prem 1 Team for Nov. 29th

Counties Prem 1 women’s side has been selected for our first run out at Katikatai on 29th November against B.O.P, Waikato and Thames Valley.

One of our top women bowlers Leeane Poulson gets the singles role.

Pairs Sk- Angela Temple, L-Adrienne Tilyard.

Fours- Sk- Karen Forrest, Hetty Bolscher, Nancy Wilson L- Cheryl Hunia.

The women are taking 8 players to Katikati. Clair Tawharu will slot into one of these teams.

The selection is for this runout only, and there are 2 players in the wings, Sharon Perry and Joy Hall.

We have 3 more runouts before Wellington in March 2021- Go well Girls.

Counties 1-5 Junior teams- for the Geddes Trophy

On Saturday 28th November the Counties 1-5 year teams also play at Kaitkati- against B.O.P, Waikato and Thames Valley.
