Leeane Poulson - Papakura - qualified for the Quarter finals, beating Donelda Scott (Canterbury) 17-16. Then in the Semi -final, beat Selina Smith -a current Black Jack- 21-11 to qualify for the Finals. Playing Val Smith from Nelson, Leeane took an early 6-0 lead, lost the next few ends- and then continued to play composed calm bowls and to fight back to 19-20 for the last end.

Val Smith claimed the last end to win the title, but how proud are we of Leeane representing Counties at the highest level of Singles Bowls.

Our congratulations Leeane, it was such an exciting game to watch.
