Counties Men’s Selectors have named their team for this year’s National Intercentre competition in Wellington 17th to 21st March 2021.

Selectors Bill Jones & David Clark would like to congratulate:

Stu Watt (TeKauwhata)

Steve Bicknell (Manurewa)

Adam Ballie (Papakura)

Patrick Stanaway (Homai)

David Clark (Manurewa)

Frankie Lim (Papakura)

Jim Ballard (Buckland)

Bill Jones- Manager

In addition to the team above Shane Drabble (Manurewa) will be named as non-travelling reserve and will train and compete with the team up until travel to Wellington.

David and Bill would like to thank all of the larger training squad for their support. We would also like to acknowledge those who were unavailable for selection due to personal reasons and hope that next year opportunities can be taken.

The conditions of play for this year’s Intercentre are different from previous years as the players can swap between disciplines during the event: hence we have not named positions at this stage.

The team will use practice sessions and two Rep. days leading up to the Wellington event to refine our best combinations and prepare well for the tough competition ahead.

We will play Auckland / North Harbour and an invitation side at Papaptoetoe (Hunters Cnr) on Sunday 14th March before departing for Wellington on the 17th March.

After a series of practice sessions and 3 Rep run-outs, the following Ladies will represent

Counties /Manukau in the upcoming NZ Intercentre to be held in Wellington later in March.

Singles -Leeane Poulson

Pairs – Karen Forrest, Adrienne Tilyard

Fours- Cheryl Hunia, Faye Sergeant, Nancy Wilson, Claire Tawharu.

Jan Larsen will be Manager/Reserve

Jan Jones the Prem 1 Women’s selector will also travel with the team to Wellington.
