Hunua and Ross Craig-Smith Taste Success.

The CM Bowls Greenkeepers Tournament was held last Friday 12th February at Papakura Bowling Club.

The Annual Green Awards are presented at this Tournament and this year saw Hunua win for the first time since 2003.

This is a great tribute to the Greenkeeper Ross Craig-Smith and his band of good keen helpers. Ross also won the Volunteer Greenkeeper Award .

Runner-up in the Green of the Year awards was Te Kauwhata which is a great acknowledgement of the work that has been put in by Stu Watt as Greenkeeper and his loyal team of helpers.

The Most Improved Green Award went to Papakura East End with an improvement of 47 points over last year. Green Superintendent at East End, Ian Horsnell, was on hand to receive the award and paid tribute to Greenkeeper Gerry Miller and the small band of helpers at the Club.

The photo shows Ross and some of the Hunua bowlers with their haul of trophies and certificates after the Tournament . Well done to Ross and Stu and Ian.
