Last Friday, 16th June, the Karaka Bowling Club held their annual Noel Dunning Memorial Trophy Tournament at the Pukekohe Cosmopolitan Club’s Indoor stadium.

This tournament had been postponed from its usual date in December due to the interesting weather pattern at the time.

There were 4 Karaka teams competing along with 14 other invited teams with the team of Adrienne Tilyard, Jenny Welch, Lin Welch and Sheryl Brownlee coming out as winners on the day and receiving the prestigious Trophy.

Runners-up were Roy Hopping, Andre Rautenbach, Nola Hook and Kevin Drummond.

As the day went so well Karaka are giving some thought to regularly transferring this event to a June date.

The photo shows the winning team along with Joyce Dunning who presented the team with the Trophy.
