On Friday 4th December held it’s annual invitational Noel Dunning Memorial Trophy Day.

Nice fine day and the green playing well with a full field of 14teams. Teams from most of the Counties Clubs.

Noel, who passed away aged 61 some 20 years ago. As a Karaka member he was one of Counties top bowlers at the time.

His widow, Joyce was on hand to present the prizes.

The day was kindly sponsored by Rowan O’Connor from Screens R Us.

The winners were:

Trevor Bowden, Sheryl Brownlee, Terry Lister, Kathy Steiner from Pukekohe, with 4 wins out of 4 games.

Trevor’s comments at prizegiving were how proud he was of the team, as they were only in their 2-6 years of bowling.

Runners up were:

Yvonne Irwin, Bev Craig, Tom Bracken, Val Bowden from Pukekohe, with 3 wins.

Good day had by all.
