On a very cold "covered rink" at Remuera Bowling Club last night- Papakura played Helensville.

Papakura players- Leeane Poulson, Adam Baillie and Lee Warburton comfortably won the first game 7-4, with excellent drawing bowls. Helensville went on to win the second game - with a low scoring 4-2 after the 5 ends. This meant an extra end had to be played -this was a close head after Adam and Lee had played their bowls- had Papakura 2 down- with the skips to play.

The next Helensville bowl was a little wide and at the back - good length- Leeanne's first bowl calmly moved the jack back- and into the open- Helensville still up by one. Last bowl from Helensville was of good length but still wide. Leeannes last bowl was a delight to watch - a great draw into the jack and win the game. !!!!!

Great news and congratulations- the team now head off to Wellington - 1st and 2nd August for the New Zealand semis and finals.
