Pukekohe team wins Chartered Club Nationals

This week teams from Bowls Counties Manukau competed in the Chartered Clubs National competition held in Oamaru.

Over 45 teams from all parts of NZ competed in this year’s event. All three teams from Pukekohe qualified for post section play.

The team of Frankie Lim, Shaun Pennell, Mike Cavanagh and Andre Rautenbach won through to the semi-finals yesterday.

Today they played in the final against a team from Northland Club, Whangarei. The Pukekohe team claimed the Moase Cup with 17-10 win. Two years ago another Pukekohe team achieved the same success.
